E-business card
the next time I ran out of business cards (as always at the most inopportune moment, according to the requirements of the genre), I thought about the endless card.
Some thoughts and experiences inside...
There are the usual business cards, to which we are accustomed. Paper(sometimes plastic) rectangle with contact information.
Lately on business cards began to appear QR codes, which speed up the processing of business cards, but the fate of almost all the cards one — they all end up in the garbage, lose them, forget to throw away as useless.
The purpose of all cards one — quick low exchange contact information to continue communication.
So, business cards ran out, contacts exchanged on a piece of paper, which is inconvenient to store, difficult to handle, it is easy to accidentally lose(because they do not like the "important document"). But if all the cards fall into the garbage, then why do they distribute? Why waste the paper? Why not make an "electronic business card"?
Choice just for some reason stopped on the RFID cards, and it was on the cards Mifare. Though of course not immediately and not reason, and had the following thoughts:
1. Convenient data exchange with mobile devices, phones equipped with NFC in the future a card can replace the phone itself.
2. Card enables you to store information on the map, not just ID card, but another (Mifare Classic can store 1Kb of information);
3. Traditionally, business card is a rectangle with contacts, and probably so he must remain some time, it is necessary to change the way the exchange of information;
4. NFC technology is gaining momentum, with more and more devices comes with NFC support;
5. The cost of the card Mifare Classic is low.
So, we get a rectangular map on which:
1. You can apply visual information as on a traditional business card (including QR code);
2. Inside the card you can record the contact information, which will be quickly read and processed by the device, and the card no need to pay;
Among the shortcomings:
While small, the proliferation of devices with NFC.
Purchasing a card is a Mifare Classic? was extremely fast to record the necessary information (as was at hand Arduino + NFC Shield, you've done through it).
Introduced some tagging information:
It is possible to protect the card from the entry that not allow attackers to quickly "ruin" the map.
Mapped image. Card is ready.
Now write an application for Android that will read information from the card and input the information in the phone's contacts.
In the nearest plans to make a Windows application for easy recording and verification of information from the map.
Consider the exchange of information without a card, just between the two phones, while using again for the unification of NFC solutions.
What do you think about the idea?
How comfortable with that?
